CloudOctane is a privately held cloud hosting provider based in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was founded by Joe Deckard in 2005 and is one of the fastest growing cloud hosting providers in the world.

CloudOctane operates thirty seven thousand servers across nine data centers located in Arizona, California, Illinois, Virginia, New York, the Netherlands, Australia, London and Singapore. CloudOctane’s peering architecture includes fifteen sites around the world. In two thousand fifteen, CloudOctane handled an average of over one hundred and fifty million domain name system, or DNS, queries per day and hosted approximately one million nine hundred thousand websites. CloudOctane uses infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service technologies internally in order to improve the management of our data centers and to help us deploy new products. CloudOctane uses a number of open source technologies, including OpenStack, Cassandra and Hadoop. The latter helps us deliver business dashboards to our customers. CloudOctane employs two hundred and seventy four support and network engineers as of March two thousand fifteen.
